Tyre work 3 August 2007

Two rather large guys joined me for a great workout.  This time the tyre work was intense; 3 tyres were utilised - small, medium and large.  On paper all agreed that it didn't sound so tough, but when we all got down to it it turned out tougher than we all thought.  Man it was great!

The workout consisted of the standard snatch and pushups and then continued with tyre in/outs, tyre flip, and tyre pull and drag.  So here is how it looked:

25 snatches right
10 pushups
25 snatches left
10 pushups
20 snatches right
10 pushups
20 snatches left
10 pushups
15 snatches right
10 pushups
15 snatches left
10 pushups
10 snatches right
10 pushups
10 snatches left
10 pushups
5 snatches right
10 pushups
5 snatches left
10 pushups

Time:  Shaun 9m51
           Jannes 10m42
           Brad did not complete

rest 4 minutes

followed by 3 rounds, tag team style with 1 minute between rounds of:

2 x 15 meter tyre in/out (flip jump in, jump out run around and repeat) - medium tyre
2 x 15 meter tyre flips - large size
1 x 20 meter tyre pull (small tyre with rope tied around it pulled hand over hand up a slight gradient)
immediately followed by 1 x 20 meter tyre drag

What a great time we had, but I can't say the same for my lungs.  The killer was that I was half way through a detox diet and I couldn't just grab a coke!
