| We had a full house! Jannes, Chris and Ryan joined me for another monster tyre workout. Jannes, Ryan and I warmed up while Chris proved that a conditioned body can and should be able to spring into action at any time. Besides he views joint mobility as far too metrosexual for him! The workout started with the usual combination of snatches and pushups, then after a short rest moved to tyre flip, blob carry, farmers walk and tyre pull and drag. And just to keep things fresh we finished with 50 cleans. All this on a Friday afternoon while most others are only exercising their right elbow at the local pub! Thanks to Lechec Claasen, professional photographer and kettlebell enthusiast, for the sharp pictures taken. So here is the workout: 20 snatches right 20 snatches left 20 pushups 15 snatches right 15 snatches left 15 pushups 10 snatches right 10 snatches left 10 pushups 5 snatches right 5 snatches left 5 pushups Total of 100 snatches with a 24kg kettlebell and 50 pushups. Time: Shaun 4m37 Jannes 5m16 Chris 5m21 Ryan 5m28 rest 4 minutes followed by 3 rounds, tag team style with no rest between rounds of: 2 x 15 meter tyre flips - large size 2 x 15 meter blob carry (pilates ball filled with 30kg of water) 2 x 15 meter farmer carry with 2 x 48kg kettlebells 1 x 20 meter tyre pull (small tyre with rope tied around it pulled hand over hand up a slight gradient) immediately followed by 1 x 20 meter tyre drag rest 4 minutes followed by cleans with a single 24kg kettlebell - 5 sets of 5 reps left and 5 reps right without rest for a total of 50 cleans.
