Tyre work 8 June 2007

It began with a lot of promise (or should I say promises) as there were going to be 5 of us but due to winter flu and other inconveniences our numbers dwindled to only 2, BUT never fear we still attacked the bells and tyre with gusto!

The workout followed a similar pattern to the last workout held on the 25 May 2007 except the volume of snatches and pushups increased by 50%, and the tyre work included carrying the blob (a 30kg water filled physio ball).

The workout:

Joint mobility to warmup

25/25 snatches right/left (24kg kettlebell)
25 pushups
20/20 snatches right/left
20 pushups
15/15 snatches right/left
15 pushups
10/10 snatches right/left
10 pushups
5/5 snatches right/left
5 pushups

Time:  Shaun 8m06s
          Henry 10m24s


rest 4 minutes

followed by 3 rounds, tag team style, of:

2 x 15 meter tyre in/out (flip jump in jump out runaround and repeat)
15 meter farmers walk with 2 x 48kg kettlebells return with a 15 meter bear walk (2 x 24kg kettlebells) and then immediately transition to carrying the blob back to the 48s, wait for partner to finish tyre in/out

Time:  12m40s (for both to complete)

Not a bad workout for just over 20 minutes.
